Xceleration LLC offers a variety of services. These services were created and designed to help all levels of athletes to become more confident in their athletic abilities. Xceleration is a multi dimensional performance training company covering all aspects of training. We train both the physical and mental aspect of athletics. We offer youth programs targeting 2nd – 6th grade, advanced programs targeting 7th-12th grade, as well as college and professional programs.

Mike Johnson  MikeJ@XcelerationLLC.com

Mike Johnson is a 2004 Wayne State University Graduate.  Mike Played football at Wayne State where is was the starting Tight End for 3 years.  Mike started Xceleration in 2002 because of his love of athletics and wanted to help young athletes with the same opportunities that he was fortunate to have as a young athlete.  Mike has implemented speed development programs at some of the top high schools in the state, including Chippewa Valley, Macomb Dakota, and Maple Valley, Plymoth Canton, Grand Blanc high schools.
 
Mike has attended nine of Gene Noonan’s Faster Results speed development clinics both as a participant and as a coach.  Mike has mentored under  Coach Noonan for years.  Noonan used his knowledge of speed development and training techniques for a number of notable programs, including the Chicago Bulls, Detroit Lions, and Texas A&M.  They have also presented Coach Noonan’s program at the MITCA clinic in Lansing, where it was positively received.
Mike has also been a speaker numerous times at MHFCA on speed development and performance training.

Under Mike's guideance he is always improving the Xceleration training program and looking to better it.

Ryan has been an important part of the growth of Xceleration. Ryan heads our expansion into the Canadian market and product development.  Ryan is a native of Windsor ON. He played 4 years of football at Wayne State University  and graduated with degree in Engineering. Ryan was drafted by the CFL Saskatchewan roughriders as the 32 overall pick in the 4th round. Ryan brings a unique level of experience to Xceleration with current projects and business relationships. 




Mike Sparks   MSparks@XcelerationLLC.com

After completing his collegiate career as a standout outside linebacker for Hope College, Mike Sparks remained at Hope working as a student assistant. From there, Mike traveled to Germany to play and coach professional football. Later in his career, Coach Sparks filled the head varsity football coach and athletic director positions at Bellevue High School. Currently, Coach Sparks is the defensive coordinator and strenght and conditioning coach at Olivet College.

Eric Newton played football for, four years at Wayne State University where he started as a true freshman at Fullback for one season, then move to Tight end for two seasons and in his last year he started at Defensive Tackle. He is now working on his B.A. in sport management at Madonna University. Eric also coaches the Junior Varsity football team at Redford Union High School. Eric looks forward to giving athletes the option to better themselves and prepare to go to the next level. 
 
Eric is the head trainer at the Dearborn Racquet and Health Club.


Nate Collins  NateC@XcelerationLLC.com

Nate Collins joins Xceleration Staff with years of experience of training and playing.  Nate played four years of college football two at Wayne State and two at the College of the Desert JC in California were he started at running back/wing. After college he started his arena football career playing five years, now Nate has had a workout for a new outdoor league call the UNGL and is waiting for the draft. Nate is a AFPA and ACE certified trainer.  Nate has great passion for helping today's athletes being better athletes and people.    



 

Bre Johnson is a recent graduate of Wayne State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Communication. She played volleyball at Wayne State for 2 years and prior to that at Owens Community College. Bre has always had a passion for coaching. She has coached for Premier Volleyball Club and served as the student assistant coach at Wayne State. She also has been a court coach for University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University summer volleyball camps. She brings a great deal of knowledge to the program as she is a certified personal trainer and has worked in the fitness industry for 8 years and knows what it takes to be a successful athlete. Bre has the first Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, a Division I volleyball program in 2006.  Bre then became the Second Assistant at bowling green State University.  She Currently is the area director of Lifestyles for Ladies Only and heads up Xceleration Women Training Program.

 

Jon Herstien   JonHerstien@XcelerationLLC.com


Jon Herstien finished his four years of college football at Wayne State University where he played primary offensive tackle and guard. He is currently finishing up his B.A. in Health (major) and Kinesiology (minor). This fall Jon will be working on a post bachelor’s certificate in adapted P.E. Jon was a state champion wrestler at Fenton High School. Jon brings a great deal of knowledge in strenghth and speed to Xceleration. He is very dedicated to helping young athletes achieve there dreams.  Jon is currently working in the Farmington Hills School district with adaptive PE kids.  Jon also coaches football and wrestling.

Joe Ballard has recently completed his senior year at Grand Valley State University where he was a three year starter as a strong safety. In the three years that Joe played for Grand Valley, they won three national titles and two GLIAC conference titles. Joe prepped at Chesaning Union High school where he won a State title as a junior.

Much of Joe's success on the field has to do with the Commitment to a program similar to the Xceleration program. Joe has been speed training and weight training since his freshmen year of high school where he worked with Jim Szappan. He is proof that speed development and training are vital to an athletes success!

Joe Is now working at Northern Michigan University where he is the running backs coach.

Xceleration's goal is to motivate, promote hard work, and give your athletes confidence in their ability to perform. Each of our coaches dedicates his knowledge and experience to provide top instruction and inspire young athletes to pursue their athletic dreams. With our program and training techniques, they have the capacity to do just that.
